Logo for Austin, TX-based record company

When Texas-based musician, proud parent and wine blogger extraordinaire Jeremy Parzen asked me to design a logo for his band’s own record company, Terrible Kids Music, I was all over the project like a rookie sommelier on an open bottle of ’82 Barolo. The job proved trickier than expected, and after trying several concepts involving toddler’s scribbles, building blocks and broken vinyl, I finally settled on this design in which the overlaying letters T, K and M form a variety of polygons inside a perfect square. The fortuitous design allows for diverse treatments of color and white space.

Look out for upcoming releases on the TKM label very soon!
